1st place winner - £1,000
Catherine Gentry
Wentworth Cottages, Haultwick
Our judges fell in love with this beautiful little scene and the image just can't do it justice.
From the presents under the tree to the little cat and light up reindeer - it captures everything that is magical about Christmas.
So obviously homemade, beautifully authentic and touching.

£1,000
2nd prize
£500
3rd prize
£250
2nd place winner - £500
Charles Williams
Green End Farm, Green End
This display brought a big smile to our judges faces. Santa is attempting to climb the roof of a chicken coop. He's got his mask on (good for you Santa!) and his elves seem to be in a spot of bother.
The whole scene was like a little comedy strip and entirely relevant for 2020. Such fun and capturing the spirit of this year's competition.
3rd place winner - £250
Dempsey & Rocco
Founceley Avenue, Dane End
This display completely wowed everyone that has passed it. Full of detail and imagination and beautifully put together.
Some of our judges also just happened to be passing when the snow machine was on and the kids were having the time of their lives. A fantastic effort with a magical effect.
Stand-out displays
The following four displays deserve a special mention:
These three all got a 10 from at least one judge:
-
ET (Lisa Stalley, Kingsfield Rd, Dane End)
-
Retired Santa (Pauline Last, Windmills, Dane End)
-
Photobooth Santa (Elaine Barnes, Easington Rd, Dane End)
And a big shout out to the church for their traditional St Nicholas - we love the fact you joined in the fun and really brought the word 'community' to life.
