When Father Christmas came to town ...

What a gorgeous day to get festive in Dane End on Saturday! Taking advantage of the sunny weather, families and friends enjoyed walking the Santa Scarecrow trail around Dane End and the surrounding villages.
Father Christmas delighted all as he took a grand tour of the villages in his decorated trailer and vintage tractor. Waving enthusiastically, he reminded the children to be kind in the run up to Christmas. The children were so excited to see the man himself in our village, and shouted just as exuberantly in return.
While waiting for the visit, a merry crowd gathered outside Dane End Stores. The children took their chances on the FOLM tombola (which raised £90!) and yummy treats were enjoyed, lovingly prepared by Gemma and Sam from the BooTea.
These events require many helping hands and we are very grateful for the time and energy of the following people:
Father Christmas for taking the time to come and visit us
Russell from The Dane End Christmas Tree farm, for organising Father Christmas' wheels
Our gorgeous FOLM elves who decorated the trailer
Gemma and Sam from The Boo Tea
Dane End Stores for letting us take over the carpark
The Tombola Queens
